EHEIM Substrat Pro Biological filter media is specially shaped to create a better water throughflow to provide longer intervals between required maintenance. Its open structure for enhanced water penetration provides better bacterial colonization.

It is pH & KH neutral so it does not affect the water chemistry. It has a larger pore structure to ensure optimum bacterial colonisation and delays the silting-up of the pores (for much longer intervals between cleaning).

Use for highly active water purification with intensive biological decomposition of harmful substances.

For use in all canister filters. Can be used in all applications like in any filter system, extra media for wet/dry sumps and in power filter media containers. It can also be used as a replacement media for the Eheim AquaBall.

Perfect for freshwater or marine aquariums.

Tip: Never clean or change all the filter media together in one operation (and never clean too rigorously). The bacteria cultures must not be completely destroyed, otherwise re-colonisation will be retarded. The filter baskets in the external filters and filter modules in the internal filters aquaball an biopower are ideal for partial cleaning.
