There are two sources for our organic fair trade spearmint in Egypt. One of our sources is the Sekem Initiative, a Biodynamic and organic farm that was founded in 1977 northeast of Cairo. The Sekem Initiative has decided to invest its Fair Trade premium in scholarship funds and literacy programs for all ages, and Sekem producers have decided to invest in better housing, sanitation and healthcare facilities, and safe, reliable transportation. These sorts of basic infrastructure improvements are vital throughout Egypt, where access to daily necessities can be challenging in all sectors.

Organic Spearmint is pleasantly aromatic and sweet. In contrast to peppermint, spearmint does not produce a cooling sensation. Children often find it to be more agreeable than peppermint.

Brew Well to be Well
For maximum benefit, herbal tea must be properly prepared. Pour 8 oz. freshly boiled water over a tea bag in a cup. Cover cup and steep 5-10 minutes. These steps directly influence the amount of beneficial components that will end up in your teacup! Gently squeeze the tea bag to release the remaining extract.
Drink several cups daily.
