Vitamin K is a set of structurally-similar fat-soluble vitamins. This collection of vitamins includes two vitamers: vitamin K1 and vitamin K2. While both vitamers support health benefits, vitamin K2 has been shown to be more bioavailable and remain biologically active in the body longer than vitamin K1.

Vitamin K1 can be found in leafy green foods. Chlorophyll is the substance in the leafy green foods that provides vitamin K and gives the plants their color. Vitamin K2 can be found in meat and dairy products.
